History In 1988 Ian Weston started trading as Weston
Engraving Services. Working from home with a small, manual pantograph engraving machine he used the skills learnt as a mechanical engineer to produce industrial labels, nameplates and signs to a diverse range of
customers. The late 80's saw some dramatic changes for the sign and graphics industry, specifically in the development of new technology such as the PC, and it's integration with machinery that had been
traditionally manually controlled. In 1989 we bought our first computer controlled engraving machine and this was joined 6 months later by our first computer controlled plotter for manufacturing vinyl signs. Several changes of location have been required over the years to provide space for the ever changing demands of a progressive company working in a very competitive environment. Over the years we have
seen many competitors, and sadly some customers, come and go, but the one thing that has remained constant is our commitment to customer service. What do we do now?
A few examples of our work can be found in:- The channel tunnel, north sea oil rigs, jet fighters, commercial aircraft, hot air balloons, shops, vans, taxis, trains, trams, offices, factories, hospitals,
houses, doctors, dentists, podiatrists, accountants, solicitors, nursing homes, vets, nightclubs, pubs, garages, supermarkets, minimarkets, hotels, b&b's... the list goes on.. and on.. |
